Detectives

Tulare Police Department Investigation Unit is comprised of one sergeant, seven detectives and two evidence technicians.  

This Division has the responsibility of investigating all felony crimes and a good portion of the misdemeanors that may occur in the City. All investigators must possess generalized skills and knowledge of investigations. However, each of these individuals have also acquired exceptional expertise in particular type crimes. The types of crimes detectives investigate: sex crimes, property crimes, identity theft crimes, and homicides. Detectives are responsible for taking over an initial investigation begun by an patrol officer in the field.

Gang Task Force and Narcotics Unit

Tulare Police Department Gang/Narcotics Unit is comprised of one sergeant, three gang detectives, three narcotic detective, one auto theft task force detective, and a AB-109 officer.
