The Police Department Citizen Complaint Review Board consist of community residents charged with the responsibility to review the Police Department's investigation of the citizen complaints filed against Police Department personnel and provide its independent review to the Chief of Police. The Board does not recommend or review disciplinary action proposed or imposed upon personnel as a result of the investigation of the citizen complaints. The creation of this Board was and is intended to ensure continued and ongoing public confidence in Police Department personnel and Police Department operations.

The Board consists of seven members who serve two-year terms. Each member of the City Council selects and appoints one member to the Board, subject to approval by the remainder of the Council. The remaining two members are selected at large by the City Council as a whole. An eighth non-voting member is selected by the Police Officers Union to sit on the Board.

The Board holds regular meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
