The Tulare City Council established the Measure I Citizen Oversight Committee (Committee) on May 16, 2017. The main duties of the Committee are to review the annual audit prepared by the City’s independent auditor related to the prior fiscal year’s collection and expenditure of Measure I revenue and expenditures of the fund, and to transmit a report to the City Council regarding the accuracy of the auditor’s findings. In order to preserve the integrity and independence of the advisory process, Committee members do not have a role in determining the use of revenue generated by Measure I.

The Committee consists of five members who serve four-year terms and are appointed by each of the five Council Members.

The Committee meets twice annually – once to be briefed on the annual budget (mid-year) and again to review the Annual Audit Report, specific to Measure I.

To apply for this committee, please visit the City Clerk's Office located at 411 East Kern Ave., Tulare, CA  93274. Applications may also be submitted online. In order to be considered for appointment, applicants must reside in Tulare.
