The Solid Waste Division is responsible for collecting and disposing of residentialcommercial, industrial and roll-off refuse, green waste and recyclables generated within the boundaries of the City.  This division provides bi-weekly service to residential accounts and as required to commercial, industrial, and roll-off accounts. Additional services include fall leaf pick-up, E-Waste recycling, curbside battery recycling, and various “clean-up” events.

This division provides bi-weekly service to residential accounts and as required to commercial accounts. In addition to the regularly scheduled service, a special haul service is provided, on request, for hard to handle materials. Salvageable cardboard and recyclables are collected regularly throughout the commercial areas for recycling purposes. Commercial trash routes continue to be collected and materials are disposed of at a county owned landfill.

The Solid Waste service operates under the direction of the Board of Public Utilities. This division is also responsible for street sweeping operations which, like solid waste collection, contributes to the overall cleanliness and sanitary condition of this city.
