Chief Fred Ynclan

Bio:

Chief Ynclan has been a member of the Tulare Police Department for 22 years. During his tenure with TPD he has served as a K-9 Officer, a member of the Crime Specs Unit, a SWAT Team Member, and a Detective in the Investigations Division. 

 One Piece of Advice:

Why I chose Tulare PD:

 I came to Tulare PD because it had opportunities I didn’t have at my previous agency. Here at Tulare, there is patrol, investigations, SRO’s, traffic, K9, SWAT. The list goes on and on. Also, I was very familiar with the community itself. My children were growing up here, I lived here and it made complete sense. While with my previous agency I would time to time come and work in the city of Tulare for various details and assignments. While working directly with the officers and detectives from Tulare PD I knew right then this would be my forever home agency. The camaraderie and family environment appealed to me like nothing had before. The only regret about coming to TPD is that it wasn’t years earlier.

BIO:

Captain Machado has been a member of the Tulare Police Department for 24 years. During his tenure with the Tulare Police Department, he has served on the P.O.P Team, SWAT Team, and Investigations Division. He is currently Captain of Tulare PD Administration Division and he over see's the SRO Program, Dispatchers, Records Department and the Homeless Team. 

 One Piece of Advice: 

 Start Living a Police Officer's Lifestyle before you seek a Career in Law Enforcement.

 Why I Chose Tulare PD:

I chose Tulare PD because I was raised in the City of Tulare, and I wanted to serve the Community where my family lives and I call home. 

Captain Greg Merrill

BIO: 

Captain Greg Merrill has been a member of the Tulare Police Department for 17 years. During his time with the department, he has been a member of the Crime Specs Unit and Investigations Unit. Captain Merrill Currently oversees the Crime's Specs Unit, the Evidence Department and the Investigations Division. 

 One Piece of advice: 

Take care of yourself first and everything else will fall in place.

I chose Tulare PD because I live in the community, and I love the family environment that the City of Tulare provides us. 

BIO:

Captain Boatman has been a with the Tulare Police Department for 22 years. During his time with Tulare PD he served on the SWAT Team, Crimes Specs Unit, and Investigations Unit. He currently oversees the Patrol Division, SWAT Team and Traffic Division at the Agency.

Remember to prioritize your life and find the balance between work, family, and your personal affairs.

I chose to be a part of the Tulare Police Department because of the impact that the RTO's and Instructors from Tulare PD had on me at the 1999 Police Academy.
